Carole Anne Grooms Westphal died April 2, 2023, at home. She had suffered many years with complications due to Neutropenia.
She was born April 1, 1942, in Los Angeles, California to Roy and Eva Grooms. In 1961 she married the love of her life, Bob Westphal. Carole was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Carole loved Jesus, her family, and her friends. She had many interests, but especially enjoyed gardening. She enjoyed many activities with friends such as mak- ing cards and swimming. At Church and in her Bible study groups she was known as the “Cookie Lady” be- cause she enjoyed baking cookies to share. One great trait she exemplified was hospitality. She enjoyed be- ing with and serving others.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Westphal, of Eagle Creek; son, Bob Westphal and his wife Diane, of California; daughters, Laura Fenstermacher and her husband Glen, of Mulino, Oregon and Heather Mansell and her husband Jamal, of Mariposa, California; her sisters, Tricia Contreras and Marilyn Kirkland; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family plans to hold a Celebration of Life later this summer.
