Longtime Estacada resident, Daryl Gentemann, died at his home Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was 77 years old. His service will be at Willamette National Cemetery with Military Honors on his Birthday. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 22nd for family and friends in his hometown of Estacada. Daryl Arthur Gentemann was born July 22, 1944 in Corvallis, Oregon to George and Bertha (Ludge) Gentemann. He was raised in Independence and Estacada, Oregon where he graduated from high school. After high school he entered into the US Marines where he served in Vietnam. While he was stationed there, he married Quyen Lengele in 1971 in Vietnam. They started their family there. They later divorced. He married Linda Jo Lee in Estacada. They made their home in Estacada. For most of his working career he owned and operated MG warehouse with his brother Martin Gentemann. Daryl enjoyed fishing, raising cows, rabbits and chickens on his farm. He loved his cats. He was a good friend to many. A Great farmer with a kind heart. Survivors include his wife, Linda Jo Lee; daughters, Maria (Jason) Rice, Lisa (Brandon)Quinn, Tina (Chris) McCarthy; son, George (Heather) Gentemann; brothers, Phillip Gentemann, Delbert Gentemann, Martin Gentemann; sister, Judy Moffitt and 8 grandchildren.
