Longtime Estacada resident, DeLoris Bethea, died on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was 91 years old.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, May 24, 2024 at The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints in Estacada. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
DeLoris Jean Zuber was born December 12, 1932 in Creston, Iowa to Forrest and Elizabeth (Egleston) Zuber. Age 5, her family moved to Dalles, Oregon then 3 years later to Estacada where she graduated from high school in 1951. On August 11, 1961 she married Frank C. Bethea in Estacada. He died in 1989. For most of her working career, she worked for LB’s now known as The Country Restaurant and Lounge retiring in 2001.
DeLoris enjoyed Embroidery and playing piano. She was a member of Theta Rho Club and Eastern Star. She volunteered as a 4-H cooking leader, den mother for cub scouts, and the schools.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra (Kevin) Fox; sons, Willy (Michelle) Bethea, Eugene (Trinda) Bethea; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind a host of friends.
DeLoris will be missed by all who knew her.
