Judith Mary Hecker was born January 27, 1949 in Dickinson, North Dakota to George and Mia Hecker. Growing up the family moved several times and she graduated from high school in Elmhurst, Illinois.
In January of 1971 she married William Price and they settled in Estacada in 1979, buying their first home in 1980. They had three children. Eventually, they divorced but remained friends.
Judy received her associate’s degree in accounting at Mt. Hood Community College. For most of her career she worked with a Property Management company doing bookkeeping and managing a manufactured home park.
Judy enjoyed all kinds of crafts including quilting, scrapbooking, sewing, and ceramics in which she made lifelong friends and won many awards. She enjoyed the beach but most of all she loved Disneyland, going to movies and shopping with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Andy (Christy) Price; daughter, Victoria (Dean) Linhart, Krista (Jeremy Wing); sister Monica Goodwin; brother, Randy Hecker; grandchildren, Tyler Gudgell, Tim, Alyssa, Lexi, Brianna Price, and Ivymarie Wing. Also, her best friend of 40 years, Edie Karlin. She was known as Mama Jude to many. We were all blessed to be loved by her.
