Laura Jeanne Sparks

A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Estacada Funeral Chapel.

Laura Jeanne Young was born March 15, 1952 in Inglewood, California to William and Edna (Stanchoff) Young. She attended Multnomah School of the Bible where she met Tom Sparks. They were married June 23, 1971 at the college. In 1997 they moved to Eagle Creek, Oregon. She had various jobs including 5 years at Portland Bible College, a mortgage loan assistant and cleaning homes.

Laura was an avid knitter and spun her own yarn.

Survivors include her husband, Tom; daughters, Hayley Yvonne Howe, Brea Katherine (J.J.) Weekly; grandchildren, Evan and Lauryn Howe. She is preceded in death by her son, Tyler Sparks in 2008.
