Margaret Luetta Miller was born on February 2, 1944 to Abraham and Olive Miller of Estacada, Oregon. She was the middle child of seven children. At less than four weeks of age she came down with whooping cough, which was a near fatal trauma for a newborn.
Her father had a temporary release from CPS camp in Montana to give help to the family in need. God gave them grace to overcome this sickness.
Margaret accepted the Lord at an early age and later enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Summer Bible School, and school in the east.
She spent 35+ years in missionary work in Mexico, first as a school teacher for the Maynard Headings and James Roth children; then as a personal worker in the village of Santa Maria. She was very dedicated to the work the Lord called her to.
In 1995, she came home to care for her aging parents for approximately 7 years.
Margaret is survived by 4 brothers – James and Jean of John Day, OR / Merlin and Sharon of Estacada, OR / Philip and Laurie of Los Gatos, CA / Elton and Viola of Estacada, OR; and 2 sisters – Twila Musselman of Orrville, OH / and MaDonna and John Yoder of Catonsville, MD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, John Musselman.
Aunt Margy was loved by many nieces and nephews and had 6 great-great nieces and 1 great-great nephew.
She lived with a niece and a nephew the last 6 months until her stroke.
