Long time Estacada residents, Michael and Bonnie Blair, died within 9 days of each other. Michael died December 11, 2019. He was 81. Bonnie died December 20, 2019 and she was 80. A celebration of their lives will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Estacada Funeral Chapel. A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery prior to the service. Michael Deggeller Blair was born May 3, 1938 to Dale and Dorothy Blair in Portland. He was raised in Portland. Bonnie Jean Edwards was born April 27, 1939 in Portland and was raised there. While in middle school, Michael and Bonnie met and they went to high school together at Grant High School. They were married October 27, 1958 in Portland while Michael was on leave after boot camp in the US Navy. After being home for 3 days, he was deployed. They moved to California. Michael was honorably discharged in 1962 and moved back to Portland where they built a home. In 1968, they moved to Estacada where they lived until their deaths. While living in Estacada, Michael had various jobs including American Sheet Metal, owning a siding company and was a rep for Barretta Sporting Goods while Bonnie worked for Cascade Utilities and Carlson Chevrolet. Bonnie and Michael started a realty company called Side By Side then Help You Sell and in later years they called it Blair and Associates Real Estate. They enjoyed making trips to Nevada and other states. They were very active in the community. They enjoyed being together and being very active. Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing while Bonnie enjoyed putting on events in Estacada. Survivors include their children, Mike Blair, Trisha Bryan and Kym Blair; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Michael is survived by a sister Judy Werner and Bonnie is survived by a sister, Donna Jensen.
