Robby deWyn

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 22, 2018, at Springwater Cemetery.

Robby Johann deWyn was born July 30, 1928, in Indonesia to Willem de Wijn and Maria J. Verhaar (de Wijn). He was raised there and in 1952 he married Jenny Rijken. They and their two children moved to Holland in 1956, where they continued to grow their family. In 1959, they immigrated to the United States with their five children and his mother and settled in Oregon. He worked as a Mechanical Diesel Engineer until he retired. In 2004, his beloved wife Jenny died.

Robby enjoyed hunting, fishing, carving gun stocks, gardening, and canning. He was an avid bullet reloader, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors include his eight children: Maureen (deWijn) Stevens of Estacada, OR. Jeffrey deWijn of New Mexico, William (Bill) deWyn of Estacada OR., Cheri (deWyn) Hunter of Eagle Creek, OR., Joan (deWyn) Smith of Estacada OR., Robert (Bob) deWyn of Redland, OR., Richard (Rick) deWyn of Redland, OR., Michael (Mike) deWyn of Estacada, OR. Robby was Opa (Grandfather) to 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
