Longtime Estacada resident, Sharon Jamieson, died at her home on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. She was 80 years old. Private family inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery Columbarium. Due to Covid-19, there will be no public service. Sharon Gayle Clark was born October 21, 1940 in Antioch, California to Lauren and Margaret (Horn) Clark. She was a loving and gentle person who loved her family and animals. Sharon especially loved working with her dogs. She trained and hunted with her German Shorthair, Burgie, in obedience and earned a CDX degree. She showed at American Kennel Club dog show with her Greyhound, Dega, and earned a championship title against professional handlers. Dega also earned NCFCA open field coursing and lure coursing championships. Sharon loved the outdoors and traveling especially to the beach and ocean. Many vacations were spent camping in state or federal parks, hiking on trails, sitting by the river and listening to the sounds of nature. Sharon was a member and past vice president of the auxiliary unit of the American Legion Carl Douglas Post 74. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Douglas Jamieson; son, Ronald Jamieson; granddaughters Regina Jamieson, Paton Dieter; great granddaughters, Addison and Audrey Dieter.
