Shirley Vivian Humes, born on January 2, 1935, in Portland, Oregon, to Edna and Floyd Humes, passed away peacefully after a life filled with love and dedication. Raised in Eagle Creek, Oregon, she was a proud graduate of Estacada High School class of 1953.
In her early years, Shirley married Frank Dunsmuir, and together they shared many cherished moments until his passing in 1966. As a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into raising her children, building a nurturing home filled with warmth. She then married Richard Anderson in 1972. They were married for 7 years. Later, Shirley worked at TIS Graphics, where she dedicated many years before enjoying her well-earned retirement.
After retiring, Shirley continued to serve her community, providing care for her mother and others in need, which reflects her deep compassion and commitment to those around her. She was also an active member of the Church of God, finding strength and fellowship within her faith.
Shirley had many interests, including a love for nature, birdwatching, walking, and watching planes—a testament to her appreciation of the world around her.
She leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Dale (Cheryle), George (Larlene), and Dennis (Sherri), along with nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank, and her stepson, Steven. Her final resting place is at Willamette National Cemetery with her husband Frank after 58 years apart.
