Estacada resident, Shirley Wright, died in Oregon City on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was 89.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Estacada Funeral Chapel. Celebration to follow at The Cazadero in Estacada. Private burial at Willamette National Cemetery.

Shirley Marion Gurley was born February 10, 1930 in Ballard, Washington to James and Gladys (Culp) Gurley. They moved to Mulino when she was a small child and went to school in the Willamette Valley area. She attended business college in Santa Barbara. She married Andres Romero in 1959. He died in a car accident in 1966. She moved to Oregon in 1973 and married Wilbur Wright in 1982. They moved to Hood River where she worked for Diamond Fruit. They moved to Estacada in 1999.

Shirley enjoyed all of God's creations, namely Christian music and sunsets. She was a member of the Estacada Assembly of God Church, Ladies Auxiliary VFW in Parkdale and the Parkdale Grange.

Survivors include her sister, Norene Rimberg of Estacada and countless nieces and nephews; Son in law Mike McMillon of Oregon City, 3 grandchildren, Julie Hampton of Oregon City, Michelle Dummer Of Tualatin, Mike McMillon II of Wellington Florida, 6 great grandchildren, Chris Hampton, Chelsea Walker, Victoria Dummer, David Findley, Marina Hampton, Mason Dummer and 2 great-great grandchildren, Zayden and Adeline Walker.
